Obama will win. (see below.)
With the precious few days remaining, I suggest we now shift our focus. Give Obama the ability to govern most effectively -- by helping him win the Senate.
=== Why Obama Will Win ===
Things are going well for Obama in ALL the swing states:
Florida (27)
Ohio (20)
*North Carolina (15)
*Indiana (11)
*Missouri (11)
Colorado (9)
Nevada (5)
New Mexico (5)
* = very close margin
Assuming these go to McCain:
Montana (3)
North Dakota (3)
EVEN IF, in the worst case scenario, ALL the swing states were go to McCain, Obama STILL wins. See for yourself by going to http://www.270towin.com and clicking on the swing states to make them Red. Obama still wins the electoral vote.
No wonder http://fivethirtyeight.com has Obama's likelihood of winning at 96%!
=== Help Obama Win the Senate ===
I'm concerned that we haven't focused enough on winning a filibuster-proof 60 seats in the senate, to allow Obama to be really effective. Arianna Huffington's recent article ”Obama Should Spill a Little Red Ink to Turn a Few More Red States Blue” shows how important this is.
Here are the candidates I'm supporting and promoting in the next few days:
JIM MARTIN FOR SENATE (GA):

Send this message to everyone you know who cares about this election. Only a few days left to encourage many more people to vote. The time to act is now.
Thanks for all that you have already done!
Yours truly,
George Kao

Excellent research George!
I have just cross-posted your blog into the Obama-Biden pod
thanks for this,
PJ
As I controversially posted 3 days ago: Obama will win and that trend just keeps getting stronger:
– 12 of 14 political analysts say Obama will win
– 50-million outcome simulation has Obama winning 99.98% of the time

Let's finish strong.
Appears like just about everyone's prognosticating an Obama win!!!
Even … {{{GASP!!!}}} … many … Republicans!!!!
Also here and here.
So yes, agreed, we should not become complacent with regard to Obama, but is a good tactical move to redouble efforts for down-ticket Democratic candidates, specifically in the Senate.
Besides, I would LOVE to have a professional comedian in Washington!! Am really really tired of all the amateurs we've had to endure for so long.
And the Senator from North Carolina is so 'Dole' … um? … I mean … 'dull'.
And Kentucky? I've got a chicken-bone to pick with McCON … mCcon … Mitch with a “B” … I'm originally from Kentucky. Born and raised there. Thankfully, I talked some sense into my one relative there I knew was voting for him. The rest are for Bruce.
Georgia! Georgia! Georgia! On my mind!!!!! This race will assuredly go to a run-off election. Which is not a bad thing. With three candidates in the race, it'll be difficult for either of the candidates to reach the 50% threshold. This will give the Democrats a chance to exercise some of its new-found muscle. Again, not a bad thing. Georgia may just become the center of the political universe for about a month or so after Tuesday.
